Vainius Buragas :

Architect and Associate

Vainius joined the practice in 2011, having completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Sheffield where he developed a deep concern for social and environmental sustainability. Following several years at the practice Vainius pursued his interest in glazed ceramic architecture, completing a Masters degree at the University of Westminster. He subsequently re-joined the practice and has now become an integral member of the team, having worked on a broad range of projects in the education, residential, commercial, mixed-use and masterplanning sectors. Vainius was promoted to an Associate in 2018. 

Vainius’ strengths lie in his aptitude to complete tasks with thoroughness and an attention to detail. He possesses a strong interest in history, sustainability and modern design and has excellent skills in computer-aided methods of design including parametric design and BIM. These skills have contributed to the success of a number award winning projects including Abode at Great Kneighton, Horsted Park, Steepleton and John Dower House.

Vainius is a keen sportsman; and enjoys travelling and baking.
