Chaper house featured in new RIBA publication on age-friendly housing

With a focus on anticipating the needs of the next generation of older people, this new publication examines "how well-designed buildings can facilitate the provision of care, support independence and wellbeing while providing companionship and stimulation."

Chapter House, our Later Living scheme for developer PegasusLife, is included as one of 15 case studies spanning a range of age-friendly housing typologies. The project provides 38 one and two bedroom apartments alongside a range of communal facilities for older people. The design was strongly influenced by historic buildings and gardens in Lichfield, and is arranged as a series of courtyards and cloisters that not only reference a medieval friary that once stood on the site, but also provide a comfortable, friendly and accessible environment for Chapter House’s residents.
